About This Project

Material: Aluminum Panels & Stainless Substructure

Size: 12′ x 6′ x 6.5′

Date: 2016

Location: Northland Innovation Campus, Gladstone, MO

Narrative: Seeker is located on the entrance plaza to the Northland Innovation Center. The sculpture is inspired by imagination, dreaming and creative intellect. Nybeck worked with 400 of Gladstone School District’s third and fourth graders. They were asked questions about daydreaming, inventions, and their future. Their handwritten answers were laser cut out of the aluminum panels. The panels allow light and air to pass through their words.
